Opening Locked Doors In Dragon Age Inquisition

I just discovered that shield bash breaks open locked doors give it a shot the next time the game prompts you about a locked door that requires a rogue.

I keep finding doors that are locked and when i try to unlock them i get a prompt that says requires deft hands and fine tools perk. The locks that you have found but not yet opened are marked on the map. It works for companions as well so if you have a warrior in your party you can just smash down doors. The items and gold you receive from opening the doors are very lack luster but you do get elemental resistance based on the door you open fire ice and lightning respectively.
